Second Day Of Ministry :Mar. 25, 2025
Today many things happened and many different emotions were felt. A small group of the team went to visit Jajas (Grandmas/Granparents) which was very emotionally eventful for me and I think for us all. We visited 4 Jajas and were very late to dinner as we were yesterday. At the first Jajas' house the Jaja was very kind and even though we could tell she was tired she tried to find a place for all of us to sit. The Jaja had a brother who lived with her at their home she also had her grandson there with them. After we had done all we had needed to do at her home my sister (Norah) had a very surprising expirience. Here is the dialouge.
Jaja Son - "Are you married, no?"
Norah - "What?" (She later told us she couldn't understand what he said) + Cami - "NO!, SHE'S TO YOUNG!"
Everyone else - Trying to process the situation.
After this whole mess we had 3 other Jajas to visit. The other 3 were not as wild as the first, we were very rushed. During the visits we did a few things the sort of routine was, say our names, ask some questions, sing, give the bucket of love, sing again, pray, and sing a goodbye song. It was very emotional, sad, happy, surprising, beautiful, and it was amazing. In the buckets of love we put a pair of reading glasses in each. It was wonderful to see the Jajas trying them on and the look of shock on their faces when they realized they could read and see better with them on. It was also very sad to see the very small houses and how skinny they were. They also looked exhausted which was hard to see. I was amazed though to see how hard they tried to overcome their exhuastion and give us a place to sit and to bring out mats for us. It was also amazing to see how happy they were for what we were doing for them.
In the morning a different group of us vistited the grade 7 students. That was one of the best expiriences of my life. We did songs, question and answers, and just talked. Everyone there was so nice. I realized and noticed many things during that time. I realized just how nuch more friendly and kind the kids here are than most of the kids in America. Also I noticed that even though they don't have much that they are always so happy and content. Meanwhile in America most of the kids are spoiled and rude. Another thing I noticed is they are more respectful to adults and teachers than the kids in America. Overall this has made me very sad to think of America and just how badly spoiled we are. Here in Uganda it is beautiful.

That's funny that Norah got a marriage proposal. Good thing she has her big sis there to protect her!
